Set 413 × 531 px (3.5 × 4.5 cm at 300 DPI) and 50 KB, then download a form-ready JPG.
Advanced (optional): exact pixels or minimum KB
Many forms ask for pixels as well as KB. Leave empty if yours does not. Examples are common sizes only – always use the size your form states.
✅ Done! Your images are ready
About this tool
Passport-style photos for application forms usually come with two rules: a small file size and a fixed picture shape. This page handles both. 413 × 531 pixels equals 3.5 × 4.5 cm at 300 DPI, but always replace it with the pixels your form states.
How to use the 50KB passport photo tool
- Select your image. JPG, PNG, WebP and iPhone HEIC all work, and you can pick several at once.
- Check the size. The box is already set to 50. Change the number if your form says something different.
- Press the green button and download a JPG under 50 KB, or one ZIP for many files.
Compress mode keeps the best quality that still fits under your limit.
Where this helps
Online application forms
Photo fields often accept only JPG under a size limit.
ID card and student card requests
Schools and offices ask for a plain-background portrait.
Visa and travel agent portals
Agents often need a small, front-facing photo file.
Membership and licence renewals
Re-uploads become quick when the file is already the right size.
What to expect
A good 50KB passport photo needs a plain light background and an evenly lit face. Crop so the head and shoulders fill the frame before you start. Heavy compression makes busy backgrounds look blotchy, so plain is better.
Frequently asked questions
What is 3.5 x 4.5 cm in pixels?
At 300 DPI it is about 413 × 531 pixels (35 mm ÷ 25.4 × 300 and 45 mm ÷ 25.4 × 300). Use the pixel boxes in Advanced options for any other size.
Will my face be stretched?
No. The default 'Crop to fit' keeps proportions and cuts the extra edges. Choose 'Add white borders' if you must keep the whole picture.
Does this guarantee my photo is accepted?
It fixes file size and pixels. Rules about background colour, head size or expression are set by the form, so read its photo guidelines too.
Is my photo uploaded anywhere?
No. Everything happens inside your browser, so your picture never leaves your device. No signup, no watermark.
