How to increase an image to exactly 20KB
- Select your image. A JPG keeps its original pixels; other formats are converted to JPG first.

Does increasing the KB improve quality?
No. The size grows because of padding data. The picture looks the same, because a JPG original is padded without re-encoding.
Is the padded file still a valid JPG?
Yes. The padding is stored in standard JPEG comment segments that image viewers skip, so it opens normally.
Could a portal still reject it?
If the portal also checks pixel dimensions or file type, those rules still apply. Padding only fixes the size.
Is my photo uploaded when I increase it to 20 KB?
