Increase Image Size in KB

Type the KB your form requires and get a file of exactly that size, picture unchanged.

KB
Advanced (optional): exact pixels or minimum KB

Many forms ask for pixels as well as KB. Leave empty if yours does not. Examples are common sizes only – always use the size your form states.

About this tool

When a form says 'minimum 50KB' and your file is only 12KB, the upload fails. This tool adds invisible padding so the file reaches exactly the size you type. Your picture stays the same.

How to use the image size increaser in KB tool

  1. Select your image. A JPG keeps its original pixels; other formats are converted to JPG first.
  2. Check the size. The box is already set to 50 and Increase is selected. Change the number if needed.
  3. Press the green button and download a file that is exactly 50 KB.

Increase mode keeps your picture and adds invisible padding so the file size matches exactly.

Where this helps

Minimum-size errors

Fix 'file too small' messages on forms.

Exact-size requests

Get exactly 30KB, 100KB, 1MB or any size.

Light scans

Plain scans are often very small.

Testing uploads

Create files of a known size for upload tests.

What to expect

The result is a valid JPG that opens everywhere. It will not look sharper, because only size changes. For better quality, take a higher-resolution photo.

Frequently asked questions

Is increasing file size the same as improving quality?

No. Padding adds size, not detail.

Can I increase and set exact pixels together?

Yes. Open Advanced options, type width and height, and the file is resized and then padded to the KB you typed.

Will the form detect padding?

The file is an ordinary JPG. Forms check type, size and sometimes dimensions, all of which are valid.

Is my photo uploaded anywhere?

No. Everything happens inside your browser, so your picture never leaves your device. No signup, no watermark.
