Image Resizer to KB – Compress or Increase Image Size

Just type the size in KB. The tool makes your photo smaller, or exactly that big. Nothing is uploaded.

KB
Advanced (optional): exact pixels or minimum KB

Many forms ask for pixels as well as KB. Leave empty if yours does not. Examples are common sizes only – always use the size your form states.

✅ Done! Your images are ready

Resize an image to an exact size in KB

Many online forms accept images only within a size range, such as 20KB for a signature or 100KB for a document. Percentage sliders do not help, because you cannot tell what size you will get. Here you type the number you need and the tool works toward it.

⬇️ Compress to KB

Finds the best JPG quality that fits under your limit, and shrinks pixels only if it has to.

⬆️ Increase to KB

Pads your JPG to exactly the KB you type, for forms with a minimum size. The picture is not changed.

Frequently asked questions

How do I resize an image to a specific KB?

Select your image, type the size in KB, choose Compress or Increase, and press the green button. Compress keeps the file under your number; Increase makes it exactly that number.

What is the difference between Compress and Increase?

Compress makes a large file smaller by lowering JPG quality and, when needed, pixel dimensions. Increase takes a small file and adds invisible padding so it reaches a minimum or exact size, without changing how the picture looks.

Is 1MB equal to 1000KB or 1024KB?

Computers use 1MB = 1024KB. In Compress mode the tool stays under the KB you type counted in 1,000-byte units, so the file passes under either counting method. Increase mode makes the file exactly your KB in 1,024-byte units.

Which formats can I use?

JPG, PNG, WebP and iPhone HEIC photos. The result is always a standard JPG.

Are my photos uploaded anywhere?

No. All processing happens inside your browser, so your pictures never leave your device.
